Maghound Magazines Giveaway
Monday was the first day of the MAGnificent Makeover Sweepstakes (sponsored by MAGHOUND and People StyleWatch). You can enter once each day (for a total of 44 entries). The sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia. The MAGnificent Makeover Sweepstakes will end on Tuesday, December 15, 2009. Here are the prizes:
MAGnificent Makeover Sweepstakes Grand Prize
- Roundtrip airfare for two (winner and a guest) to New York City (Thursday through Saturday)
- Airport transportation to and from the NYC airport to the hotel
- Hotel accommodations for a three-day, two-night stay at a NYC hotel of the sponsor’s choice
- Hair and makeup for the winner at a People StyleWatch recommended salon — includes a salon consultation, hair cut and color, make-up application, and eyebrow shaping
- $1,500 shopping spree for the winner with a People StyleWatch Editor who will advise on trendy outfits and wardrobe suggestions at a retail store of the Editor’s choice
Three Runner-up Prizes
- $100 gift card to either Sephora or Macy (winner’s choice)
Maghound Magazines Giveaway
Thanks to Maghound, I’m giving away two memberships to their magazine subscription service. The membership is good for one year and you can sign up for 15 magazines each month (no extra charge for premium magazines). The giveaway is for US residents only. There are two ways to enter and you can enter in both categories.

My favorite magazine just for me is Real Simple. I read so many “parent” and “teacher” magazines that it is just relaxing to read something just for me. I love looking at the outfits they put together with $450.00 shoes and a $185.00 bracelet. but the articles are good and it is loaded with good ideas and simple organizing tips.

One of my favorites is Better Homes and Gardens.
A family favorite is National Geographic. With so many different options there’s something for the whole family. My kids love the Jr. version.
Outside is a good one to.

I’ll probably end the giveaway in about a week. It’s too late to be part of the Maghound promo. They selected most of the bloggers back in August. I’m not sure what the criteria were. I’m just lucky I’m part of the group selected.
Real Simple is an easy favorite. Always classy, always applicaple, always well written.

Photo Pro looks like a more professional magazine. I’ve looked around my local book stores and haven’t seen this one before. Sounds interesting.
