One of your commenters is right. If watched only an hour a day, I’m SURE it doesn’t affect them. It’s probably when kids are sitting in front of the TV or hours….

As far as quality goes, the Baby Einstein DVDs are decent. I’ve watched them in the past with my kids and it’s hard for me to understand how those DVDs can lower your kids’ vocabulary.

We have some Baby Einstein DVD's. Now and then, I'd let Julia watch one while I made dinner when she was a wee one. I thought they were great then and still do. I’m glad that Disney is doing the proper thing and refunding people their money.

Now they should come out and state how they plan on making sure that something like this doesn’t happen again.

My kids were too old for Baby Einstein, but I do know that the originator of this series sold the franchise to Disney several years ago (probably in 2004 since that's the beginning of the purchase time for refunds). She made a killing when Disney bought it from her, so she has no liability in this and laughs all the way to the bank. Huh. We have them and my kids were not interested in them. Not enough explosions or high speed chases with Swiper.

She learned some sign language.. But nothing was stunted..

I can’t find the original case so I guess I’m not getting my money back.
