The Little Princess
It seems like it has been ages since I’ve written anything on this dad blog about my oldest child, the Little Princess. She turned nine last June. Nine is halfway to eighteen. Her first life is half over. In another nine years, she’ll be leaving the nest for college and start her second life. I’ll be sad when she goes. Right now I’m just enjoying our time together — like a week ago when I asked her to sit in front of the camera so I can play around with the manual exposure setting on my Canon point and shoot camera. How can a dad not love a daughter like this?
Oh no! I’m turning into a moose.

I can’t hold my head up. My brain is too heavy.

I have to go to sleep, but first I have to poop.

The Little Princess won’t think it’s funny if she sees these. She doesn’t like me having fun with her photos.
Could have done without the “half-way reminder” as mine turns 12 in a few more weeks. *sigh* I’m with Songbird…captions are awesome. ;)
Hugs,
Holly

Sorry, you have any fewer years left. But I think you at least have a major university near you.
GORGEOUSNESS!

Thank you. She has my looks.
Man, look at her hair! Gorgeous. Quit lying. You know she looks like her mom.
Oh man, I’d better be careful. I want to win the next giveaway. You know…. she gets her good looks from you. Hee hee…..
Just kidding. Seriously though, I just had a kid turn 9 and all I could think of is that I have a teen in 4 years! Scary!

She had short hair until she started kindergarten. After that, she wanted it long.
By the way, I saw your comment on my blog. You’re a GREAT dad. That’s obvious. I think when everyone is tired, they space things out. When I’m tired, I have to work EXTRA hard to not get frustrated easy or zone the kids out.
Now that is one beautiful girl. Her hair is gorgeous! You better lock her up in her bedroom in about 3 or 4 more years and keep her there till she turns 30! God knew what he was doing giving me boys!

I also need to get a gun permit and a shotgun.
We already have that. ha.
Haha, fun! Nine is a great age. Has she ever had her hair cut?
Only a few trims since kindergarten.
Very pretty photos of the Princess.
I think it’s because of the guy behind the camera.
so adoreable…… times passes too quickly and yes we have jsut to savour the moment we are living in!

I really like this idea of having kids make some funny faces and movements and capturing it on film. It would make for a great photo montage in your living room. What fun!

Awww, she’s so animated!!! LOL! I lover her hair – mine used to be that long once! P.S. Canons unite!
If she keeps letting it grow, her hair will eventually reach the floor!
Love the captions.
