The Little Princess

It seems like it has been ages since I’ve written anything on this dad blog about my oldest child, the Little Princess. She turned nine last June. Nine is halfway to eighteen. Her first life is half over. In another nine years, she’ll be leaving the nest for college and start her second life. I’ll be sad when she goes. Right now I’m just enjoying our time together — like a week ago when I asked her to sit in front of the camera so I can play around with the manual exposure setting on my Canon point and shoot camera. How can a dad not love a daughter like this?

Oh no! I’m turning into a moose.

I can’t hold my head up. My brain is too heavy.

I have to go to sleep, but first I have to poop.

  1. Man, look at her hair! Gorgeous. Quit lying. You know she looks like her mom.

Oh man, I’d better be careful. I want to win the next giveaway. You know…. she gets her good looks from you. Hee hee…..

Just kidding. Seriously though, I just had a kid turn 9 and all I could think of is that I have a teen in 4 years! Scary!

      1. By the way, I saw your comment on my blog. You’re a GREAT dad. That’s obvious. I think when everyone is tired, they space things out. When I’m tired, I have to work EXTRA hard to not get frustrated easy or zone the kids out.
