Manly Flowers for Men
Father’s Day is coming up in about three weeks. If you have not figured out what to give yet or if you don’t want to spend a bundle on a Porsche or a Segway, consider giving flowers to good old dad. It would be different. As an added bonus, Teleflora will donate a portion of their sales proceeds to the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) when you order their new baseball-themed bouquets, Big Hit (photo above) or Play Ball. [Here's a scary thought: prostate cancer strikes one out of six American men.]
Now’s your chance to send a free bouquet of flowers to the man in your life. Leave a comment below to win a bouquet of flowers from Teleflora (thank you Teleflora!). The Father’s Day Giveaway contest will end Wednesday, June 10th. My wife will select a winner.
Here’s a blurb from Teleflora about their baseball-themed bouquets:
Teleflora’s Big Hit and Play Ball Bouquets arrive in oversized ceramic baseball mugs with hand-painted stitching. These arrangements arrive with either red carnations or a combination of carnations, delphinium, lilies, and chrysanthemums, and are available online for $46.95 or through local Teleflora florists. Once the flowers are gone, dads can use the mugs for morning coffee or as a container to hold pens, pencils or even a variety of plants.

How *funny*. I never would have thought of that. But beats giving a toothbrush and some socks any day. :]

Until last week, I didn’t even know they had flower bouquets for men.
Or another tie, or barbecuing utensils or Soap On A Rope! Do you remember that stuff? I gave my dad that every year and by July the stuff had magically disappeared!

I don’t remember what I gave my dad, but my father eventually told me not to get him anything. I guess he thought highly of my gifts.
My plan was to get my guy a new grill for father’s day, but it is going to have to wait another week, I won’t have all the money by Father’s Day. Luckily, his birthday is the following week. I would love to win this so I can give him something.

I would like a new grill too (our current grill no longer works), but my wife uses the grill more than I do.
I’m game (ha! Pardon the pun). Count me in!

Too bad they don’t have a geek theme bouquet (ie – comes with a bunch of hi-tech gadgets).
I am sure my husband who is a sports nut would love to get this..:)
I never thought of sending flowers to a man! I would send this one to my dad! He would be excited!
My wife sent flowers and balloons to my office once. It was cool.

I’d love a chance to win!! Thanks so much! My Husband would be very appreciative of this baseball bouquet!! Thanks
My husband would use the baseball vase as a change holder on his desk. The flowers themselves are beautiful.
I would use it as a pen holder.
I love it!! I’d have my nephew (who plays baseball) give it to his dad for Father’s day!
Very cool giveaway, thank you! My husband loves baseball, a huge fan of the sport actually. I never knew they had flower arrangements for men, love it!

Since I’m a guy I’ll excuse myself from this contest. Very cool gift though. I’m sending the “hint” to my kids….

For a Porsche or a Segway?
I’ll probably get my dad a card.
That’s a great cause – my husband’s father and grandfather both had prostate cancer.

Before Lance Armstrong, I didn’t even know about prostate cancer. Now I hear about it all the time.
I’m thinking oxymoron here…hee hee. Wonder what I’ll give myself!!

Good point. Flowers for hubby is like a gift for him and you. Sort of like giving lingerie to your wife.
I have given my husband flowers in the past, but not in such a manly fashion.
This is a great idea. And my husband would also appreciate the fact that part of the proceeds are going to the Prostate Cancer Foundation since he has prostate cancer and is currently on many drugs trying to keep its spread in check.
How wonderful of you! I will put a link to this on my blog!!

This is my husband’s first father’s day. I was going to get him the new LED LCD Tv that he wanted but this would save me a ton of money!
I wonder who first thought that men would not like flowers?

Cute arrangement. The mug is perfect to keep change in after the flowers die.
This would be so perfect for my wonderful husband.
He is a huge baseball fan. And I would love to see his face when he receives flowers.
Thank you so much for the chance to win.
I hope your wife picks me, because I’d just love to give these to my adorable husband.
Never knowing what to send my Fahther for his day of honor, I think that this would be perfect!
