Valentines Flowers Giveaway

What great timing. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I have five ProFlowers gift codes. Each code is worth $70 (thank you, ProFlowers!). For those of you who don’t know, ProFlowers offers flowers delivery to your home, office, or spaceship. The flowers are hand-picked from farms and delivered directly to you instead of through brokers, middlemen, florists, and leprechauns.

ProFlowers offers a zillion, beautiful bouquets of flowers to chose from. Here are some of my favorite bouquets (a dad can like flowers too, right?):

Now’s your chance to give flowers to someone special for free, or better yet, send them to yourself. You like flowers, don’t you?

Before I explain how you can win flowers for someone special, I want to let my international readers know that the coupon codes will not work for international orders. However, you can still enter if you want to send flowers to someone in the United States.

There are four ways to win the flowers. You can enter in more than one category, but you can only win one coupon. You can also encourage your spouse to enter. Be sure you use a valid email address so I can contact you. The deadline for the contest is Saturday evening (Pacific standard time). Winners will be announced next Monday. Here are the four ways you can win:

Anyone can enter this category. Just leave a comment before the end of Saturday (Pacific standard time). A winner will be randomly selected. You can leave more than one comment. However, only one comment will be entered in the drawing for this category.

  • Win the Daddy Forever Valentines Pageant
This category is limited to the top ten commentors at the time I wrote this post. The person receiving the most votes will win a $70 coupon. The pageant closes Saturday night (Pacific standard time).

  • Write a Valentines Post
There will be two winners in this category. You can enter this category by writing a new post about Valentine’s Day, why you love your significant other, or about why you like getting flowers. Then link back to my blog from your post and leave a comment to let me know about your post. You can’t submit an old post. It has to be a new post (February 2-7, 2009). The url for Daddy Forever is: http://daddyforever.com/

  • Take the Quiz
In the comments area, answer the five questions below to enter the last category. A winner will be randomly selected. Be careful about copying another person’s answers. They might be wrong. To win, ALL answers must be correct (according to the ProFlowers web site).

    1. What do orange roses symbolize?
    2. What is ProFlowers’ phone number?
    3. What is the meaning of tulips?
    4. What is the percentage of women who prefer red roses?
    5. True or false: ProFlowers donates 10% of the sales price of their Pink Ribbon Collection to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Oh, two more things: (1) the gift codes expire March 1st and (2) the codes can also be used for non-flower items on the ProFlowers site. Good luck and may the Force be with you.

[Update] ProFlowers just email me a special link that will give you a 20% discount and a free vase. You can also enter the ProFlowers Giveaway contest at the blogs and sites below:

You have a very sweet site. I’d like to be entered into your ProFlowers.com giveaway. I’m a single mom and a teacher and don’t have much dough..I’d send flowers to my friend in Atlanta who has been sick.

    Thanks for doing the giveaway.

LOL, I have to say the on-line dating or electronic dating has come a very long way since the days of straight forward chat rooms. Far more and much more individuals are turning to on the web dating sites to screen potential dates.
