The Perfect Pumpkins

Posted by Daddy Forever on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 : : 29 comments

We went to the pumpkin patch recently. What a difference a year makes. Last year, it was sunny and in the 70’s at the pumpkin patch. This year, it was foggy and in the 40’s. Last year, we picked nice, medium size, orange pumpkins. The kind you want to marry and spend the rest of your life with. This year, our pumpkins look like super market rejects. The type no one wants. No one except for our kids. You’re thinking what I’m thinking, right? I thought so. My wife passed a defective pumpkin gene to our kids (I can get away with saying that today because it’s my birthday. I’m 22 again.).

Oh orange, perfect pumpkins are sooo last year!
We have two little “onion” pumpkins here, too. For some reason those are the ones Roo wanted.

What is the deal with white pumpkins? But they would be great if you were making ghost pumpkins.

They are talented, but the Little Monkey tore off the mouth and ears on her pumpkin.

Happy 22nd Birthday! Two weeks ago, I celebrated my 29th again!

Mutant pumpkins are better than perfect pumpkins any day! I am particularly partial to the ones with some green on them!

Five days? You mean your birthday is on Halloween? Spooky and cool at the same time. I wish my birthday was on Halloweeen.

hehe. No five days from the post. I’m a moron. I thought about that after I posted it. It’s on the 29th. My MIL is a Halloween baby, though. That would be a cool bday!

Happy Birthday!!! It makes your jack o’lanterns unique when you pick the odd ones! And white pumpkins are great for crescent moons. I’ll post our pumpkin pics this week.
