Halfway to Halloween
That’s right, we are about halfway to Halloween. Just six more months until the best holiday in the world. Frankly, I think we should celebrate Halloween every three months. Once a year is not enough. Hmmmmm. I wonder if there’s a presidential candidate who will run on my Halloween platform? I would totally vote for that candidate.
I would start setting up my Halloween decor today, but I’m too far behind on my outdoor projects. Until this past week, we did not have dry weather for more than two days in a row. We’ve cracked 70 only two or three times so far this year. I think we’re going to have a cool summer.
Recently, my kids found their old Halloween costumes and put them on. My kids must not be growing anymore because they can still fit their old costumes. Spiderboy will turn four in June and he can still fit the Pooh costume, which is size 6mth-12mth. The little princess will be seven in June and she’s wearing her old Minnie costume, which is size 2/4T (the mouse ears are actually my wife’s).

Nice…my wife tends to have dressup with the kids often enough as it is, but for those who dont’, getting out old halloween costumes always makes for alot of fun…

My oldest is a beast, she grows very fast and is all legs. My youngest is a peanut and is staying in Anna’s hand me downs a lot longer than Anna did.
My husband was so excited to have found an old pair of sandals from Anna that is Emma’s size… in the garage of all places. He gets to return 12$ sandals to Target… it’s all about the saving money. What he forgets is that mother’s day is coming up ;)
You are the only person I know whose calendar revolves around Halloween – you definitely are one of a kind, Daddy!
I got Minnie Mouse ears too – in the form of a hair band.
I love that you love Halloween!!!
They are too cute and they make the costumes really big so no worries!
Keep smilin!
Julia loves to pull out her old costumes, too. It’s fun. I enjoy Halloween, too. It’s the one day of the year I don’t get funny looks for dressing up with Julia. Who knew that cowgirls at IGA on a Thursday night could be so ofensive to some people?
I can’t wait to experience a real halloween. Little bug was 18 months old during her last halloween so Daddy D felt no need to take her trick or treating… even though I got her a cute Steelers cheerleading costume.
As for them still fitting in their halloween costumes, unless their waistline is getting bigger, they should still fit because after 2 their growth sloooows down a lot. So they probably really only got taller.
PS:
Your children are sooooooooo cute!
You know what’s cool? My three year old wore the same tigger costume for halloween three years in a row! And he wanted to! It was the day before halloween and all they had was 3T when he was 18mos old. Best ten bucks I ever spent.
If those are costumes from the Disney Store, they last forever and are always big. I think I have at least one costume that my 8 year old can still wear!
I wouldn’t mind having Halloween more often, but I don’t know if I could handle all the retail hype…
Cute!
Tigger is my favorite!
I went as Pooh for 2 years when I was his age!
