Gift Card for Mommy

Princess M: Mommy, I want to get you a present.
Mommy Forever: Why?
Princess M: Because you don’t get very many presents.
Mommy Forever: That’s OK.
Princess M: What’s your favorite store?
Mommy Forever: I like a lot of stores, but Anthropologie and Saks are my favorites.
Princess M: I’m going to ask daddy to get you a $5 gift card at Saks.
Mommy Forever: Five dollars?!!!
Princess M: Is that too much?
Not only does my little princess have my sense of humor, she has my frugalness too! Next Christmas, I’m putting the little princess in charge of getting a present for Mommy Forever.

She has her mother’s good looks, and just wait until a few years from now, when they’re both raiding the clothes racks at Saks! I’ll bet they do more than $5 in damage… ;)
Your wife has expensive tastes, so then how did she end up with you? Teehee!
At least Princess M didn’t ask you for your VISA card – my kids have been known to say, “Whaddya mean you don’t have any money? Just use your VISA!”
Sheesh…
“Hey Big Spender!”
Fear not…one day she will be asking for gift cards for herself!
But that is a sweet offer on her part.
Keep smilin!
Sweet girl. Just wait till she is the one asking for the gift cards to Saks!
Enjoy it now – that frugalness will fade as she grows.
She loooks adorable in that picture. I love the tiara.
She’s such a cutie!! Enjoy the frugalness while it lasts. =)
Ha!! Would that none of us had to grow up to the harsh realities out there!
Hugs,
Holly
Perhaps a toys r us gift card is in order for her birthday, as a lesson in economics. Just a suggestion.
Nice! A girl after my own heart.

Actually $5 is quite an extravagant amount for a child… I remember when I was a kid, an equivalent amount (in Russian rubles) seemed like a fortune to me. I thought I could bye anything with it and still have change…
Oh my goodness, she is waaaaaaaaaaay too cute!
LOL. Not even sure if you could get McDonald’s for mommy on Five dollars. Cute how kids think. Is it to much? LOL
