Spiderman vs The Thing
Ever wonder who would win in a battle between Spiderman and The Thing? The Thing has super strength, but Spiderman has super strength too. And Spiderman can also shoot web from his wrists and don’t forget about his superior IQ. Take a look for yourself. Spiderman over on the right has two missing arms. The Thing below is still the ever-lovin, blue-eyed Thing with both of his arms intact. Are you wondering if The Thing tore off Spiderman’s arm? Nope. That would be my son, Spiderboy.
Spiderboy got a Spiderman doll action figure for Christmas when he was 18 months old. Within two weeks, one of Spiderman’s hand broke off. A week later, the opposite arm broke off. A month after that, the arm with the missing hand also broke off…leaving Spiderman armless.
Last Christmas, Spiderboy got The Thing and another Spiderman (he wanted another one) for Christmas. Within a week, Spiderboy managed to once again break off one of Spiderman’s hand. The Thing is now almost a year old and he still has all his appendages. Somehow, The Thing has managed to survive after he has been thrown all over the house, stomped on, jumped on, and used as a beating stick. The Thing is one tough super hero.
The moral of this post? If you’re going to give a little boy a super hero for Christmas, consider giving something durable…something without joints and virtually no moving parts. It will last a lot longer.

Definitely a good point. Too bad I already have a Spiderman going under the tree.
As a child, I used to cut the hair off of my Barbies, paint their heads with nail polish, and pretend that they were punk rockers.
I don’t remember a time when there wasn’t something wrong with me…
Um. Remember that stretchy thing- was it the Hulk? They they made other’s. The texture of the doll was enough to give a kid nightmares, though.
